South of Melbourne is beautiful Phillip Island with its penguins and koala colonies. Wilsons Promentary provides unbelievable bushwalking and further east is the Lakes Entrance region with its tranquil waterways and great fishing. The Victoria ski fields attract hundreds of thousands of skiiers and snowboarders during the winter months and the Victorian high country is truly spectacular. Mount Hotham and Falls Creek both provide modern skiing facilities and plenty of lift capacity to keep the ques short and provide a quality skiing experience.
