Heron Island

It is a great way for the kids to have a unique educational experience and learn about the interesting facts of the island and this Marine National Park. They can take part in reef walks, bird watching, beachcombing, tree planting an even the opportunity to run their own resort island.... how exciting!! Other activities include fishing, snorkelling, semi-submersible trips or just simply walking around the island and having fun. Every child that is placed in the Junior Rangers Programme will be required to pay a one-off fee to participate in the club, but with all funds being donated to the Queensland Turtle Conservation Program is really is a good cause.

The Aqua Soul Spa located on the island is somewhere where you can visit to relax after a fun filled day of activities and attractions. Heron Island, like all of the other island resorts, is open all year round but if you are wanting to visit the resort around bird season, if you are an avid birdwatcher you will have to come during the months of January to March, and if you are really looking forward to basing your holiday to Heron Island around the Turtle nesting season then you should do so around the same time of year as the bird watching period.

With so many things to occupy your time on the island you will wonder how you are ever possibly going to fit it all in!
