Queensland Islands

Queensland’s coastline is lined with magnificent islands, many of which are set amongst the spectacular Great Barrier Reef./p>

Just north of Stradbroke you can find Bribie Island, which is home to the Pumicestone National Park, and to get here you need to go via Caboolture on the Sunshine Coast. Heading north again the next island that dots the Queensland coastline is world famous Fraser Island, with is sand blows, crystal blue lakes, clear streams, fishing and 4WD adventures it is perfect for a family holiday full of fun. You can access Fraser Island either via River Heads in Hervey Bay or by Rainbow Beach which is located just south of Hervey Bay.

There is a possibility that you may come across rats and crocodiles so always be on the lookout for them. There are a number of camping areas along the trail, and with no shops provided on the island you will need to take all supplies. You can get to the island by Ferry.
