Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise is the commercial hub of the Gold Coast. It is located in the south east corner of Queensland and about one hour’s drive south of Brisbane along an eight lane motorway. Surfers Paradise is the home of much of the Gold Coast’s best accommodation and the beach front esplanade is lined by tall apartment blocks that provide thousands of self catering holiday apartments for the use of incoming tourists. During the surf carnivals, thousands of spectators line the beach to watch the surf boat races and Iron man events. The colourful spectacle of a day at Surfers Paradise beach is filled with the images of beautiful; bikini clad babes and bronzed surfers with rippling muscles and the sparkling clear waters of the Pacific Ocean.

A holiday in Surfers Paradise is one of the most popular in Australia because there is so much to see and do. The Gold Coast theme parks are world famous and shuttle services will pick up patrons from their Surfers Paradise accommodation and drop them back again when they have had their fill of the fantastic thrill rides, wildlife exhibitions or water park rides. The Southport Broadwater gives visitors access to many aquatic activities like floating restaurants, whale watching tours and fishing charters. In the Gold Coast hinterland there are tours to see the beautiful rainforests and waterfalls.

Surfers Paradise is really easy to get to with regular air services to Brisbane and the Gold Coasts own airport at Coolangatta. Regular coach services also travel right along Australia’s east coast and all travel through Surfers Paradise. This truly is one of Australia’s leading holiday destinations.
