The Entrance

The Entrance is Tuggerah lakes region of the New South Wales, Central Coast. It has quickly become a huge tourist destination that thousands of people come to experience just for the day, the weekend or an extended holiday. So many of the people that come to visit The Entrance always want more and keep coming back to get it!
The town has recently undergone a massive overhaul making the town have a sense of modernisation and have added to the cosmopolitan feel of the seaside village. There has been around $15 million spent of tourist attractions and creating very popular playgrounds.

The town now has so many more things to enjoy when you holiday at The Entrance such as al fresco dining, retail shopping and beautiful board walks perfect for an afternoon stroll.  There is a string of wonderful cafes and restaurants all boasting breathtaking water views along the front strip, where you can sit for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy the soft sea breezes and warm gentle climate.

Shopping is always a favourite pastime for everyone on holidays, and The Entrance provides some fabulous shopping, where you can purchase designer clothes, jewellery, and even stock up on some groceries if need be.  You really can find it all here! There are also weekend markets showcasing local produce and gorgeous knick knacks for you to look at and buy, and makes for a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon by the water.

Every kid loves to run through water, swim and splash around... And Vera’s water garden offers just this, where the little ones can really have some fun while you sit and relax.

Memorial Park is the focal point of all activity in The Entrance, where you can fly kites, have a picnic, kick a ball around, go on rides and jumping castles, and watch the kids have so much fun.  With BBQ’s and beautiful picnic grounds a plenty, it is a great day to be had by all by the water’s edge. And being so close to the shops, cafes and restaurants you can just skip across the road to delight your tastes buds or give your purse a work out to fill in some time if you like.

The beaches at The Entrance are considered world class, offering safe swimming conditions, patrolled beaches and perfect surfing conditions. With golden sand and crisp clear ocean water, the beaches are a popular location for not only tourists and visitors but the locals as well.  The Channel is another special place that is on show at The Entrance where you can swim, fish or just kick back and watch the world go by.  With its gentle currents many people take pleasure in swimming in the channel, as well as throwing in a line or two as the running waters brings in many schools of fish to be caught. 

Pelican feeding in another fascinating attraction at The Entrance where you can get up close and personal with these amazing birds and hand feed them.  The Entrance is recognised as 'The Pelican Capital of Australia' as the town has taken an active role in ensuring the survival of these precious animals.  Many pelicans get caught in fishing line, or suffer from other medical conditions, and having this daily feeding session lets the guides check the birds out and keep an eye on them. 
There truly is something for everyone at The Entrance, from shopping, dining, entertainment, attractions, bike riding, water sports, fishing and surfing, it is the ideal holiday destination for the whole gang.  The Entrance is many people's idea of the ultimate holiday destination having so much to offer.
