Batemans Bay is a town and a bay in the South Coast region in New South Wales. Batemans Bay is located on the Princes Highway about 280km from Sydney, 760km from Melbourne and 151km from Canberra via the Kings Highway.

Or take a trip to Old Mogo Town, which is a 1850s gold rush theme park near Batemans Bay or take a gentle cruise along the Clyde River, which winds through thickly forested valleys, national parks and state forests. The historic cheese factory and craft shops at Central Tilba, built in the 1890s, is always another great one to take the kids to for a great day out!

During your visit to Batemans Bay, take a drive out to the pretty town of Nelligen, upstream about 10 kilometres. This is a quiet village located on a calm and attractive reach of the river. On the way, you can get a magnificent view of the town and the beautiful river from the Holmes Lookout.

You'll also have the chance to savour fresh and succulent seafood caught locally in some of the planet's cleanest waters. The local Clyde River oysters are often hailed by connoisseurs as the best in the world.
